Sony kiest voor in-game advertising

Als een ontwikkelaar met een MMO op de proppen komt, is het meestal het geval dat daar voor de speler van de game extra kosten aan verbonden zitten, zo betalen de spelers van World of Warcraft 13 euro per maand om de game te kunnen spelen.

Tot voor kort was het nog onduidelijk hoe dit geregeld zou worden in Sony's MMO The Agency. Inmiddels is bekend dat de game in ieder geval in-game ads zal bevatten. Een goede zaak, want hoe meer in-game advertising er in staat, hoe minder de gamer hoeft te betalen.

Overigens sluit Sony niet uit dat er alsnog betaald moet worden, maar dat zal geen €13 per maand gaan kosten.
