De jongens van Guerilla Games maken een grote kans om in ieder geval één keer in de prijzen te vallen. Voor de jaarlijkse The Game Awards zijn ze maar liefst zes maal genomineerd voor Horizon: Zero Dawn. Ze zitten onder andere in de race voor Game van het Jaar.
Erg gemakkelijk wordt dat overigens niet. Ze moeten de concurrentie aan met titels als Super Mario Odyssey en The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Misschien maken ze meer kans op een prijs voor Best Game Direction, Best Narrative, Best Art Direction, Best Performance en/of Best Action/Adventure Game.
Horizon: Zero Dawn is trouwens niet de enige game met veel nominaties. Naast de netgenoemde Nintendo titels maakt ook Destiny 2 kans op zes prijzen. Aankomende 7 december worden ze uitgereikt, en ongetwijfeld zien we ook nog wat interessante titels.
