Zo, dat is uitpakken: Rockstar Games heeft via haar site bekend gemaakt dat er in de komende maanden vier DLC-pakketten komen naast het al uitgebrachte ‘Outlaws to the End’. Zoals we toen al zeiden: “the first one’s free”, maar nu moet er natuurlijk gelapt worden. Het eerste pakket, het ‘Legends and Killers pack’ dat zich op multiplayer richt met wat nieuwe karakters, maps en een nieuw wapen, “is yours for the low, low price of €10!” en zal begin augustus uitkomen voor de PS3 en Xbox 360.
De rest van de pakketten volgen dit najaar, waarbij het lijkt alsof er net genoeg content in elk pakket wordt gestopt om het een eigen release te geven, al vind ik het ‘Free Roam pack’ nogal magertjes. Het interessantste is toch wel het ‘Undead Nightmare pack’ dat een soort van zombie modus heeft à la Call of Duty: World at War, maar dan helemaal in stijl met ghost towns en dat soort fratsen. Jammer dat die pas als laatste op de planning staat. En nog steeds geen Back to the Future III-DLC, helaas.
