Longhorn de opvolger van XP gaat Windows Vista heten meldt Reuters.

Vista betekend in het Italiaans en Spaans 'sight'. In het Engels 'distant view or prospect, especially one seen through an opening'. Volgens Brad Goldberg, general manager of Windows product development, moet de nieuwe naam staan voor 'communicating the idea of clarity'.
