Volgens een laatste bericht op Marketwatch is het zover. Google koopt DoubleClick.
"Google Inc. said late Friday it has agreed to acquire digital marketing company DoubleClick Inc. for $3.1 billion in cash from private equity firms Hellman & Friedman and JMI Equity, and management. The deal is expected to close by the end of the year.
Deze aquisitie zal een grote impact hebben op de online advertentiewereld waar Google een steeds dominantere rol wil gaat spelen. Ergens in een comment kwam ik deze tegen: "Google Monopoly Beta" gevolgd door "if they buy everyone, there won't be anyone left to buy adwords :)". Dat laatste relativeert het wel weer.
